【Master’s】 Online only (offline presentation is not allowed)
1. Pre Defense: No Presentation / Online Thesis site review only
2. Main Defense
1) Deadline for Presentation: ~ May 31 (Sun)
2) How to proceed: Applicants should proceed by selecting one of the following methods in consultation with the advising professor and thesis committee members.
① Live Streaming Presentation: Live streaming presentation at the appointed time with committee members using Webex, ZOOM, Skype, etc.
- Webex program recommended.
- When using Webex, the HOST authority is carried out with the advisor's ID.
- Refer to the attached Webex User Manual (HOST / GUEST)
② Recording presentation video: Record the presentation video and send to email it to the committee members by May 27(Wed). Check the review results and comments through thesis review site and email.
- Please recording the presentation video from 15 to 20 minutes (recommended). (Please make it in consulting with your advisor professor)
- We recommend that recording to including presenter's face. (At least record your first and last greetings, including presenter's face.)
3) Checkup on Comments at Online Thesis System: June 8 (Mon)
4) Submission of the Revision Report
① After revising the thesis, please be confirmed(get the signature) it by the committee members and advisor
* Signature scan and stamp available
② Submission Due Date: ~ June 26 (Fri)
【Combined/Ph.D.】 Online Proceed Recommendation
1. Pre Defense: 1 Time/ Main Defense: 2 Times
2. Deadline for Presentation: ~ June 26 (Fri)
3. How to proceed: Applicants should proceed by selecting one of the following methods in consultation with the advising professor and thesis committee members.
① Live Streaming Presentation: Live streaming presentation at the appointed time with committee members using Webex, ZOOM, Skype, etc.
- Webex program recommended.
- When using Webex, the HOST authority is carried out with the advisor's ID.
- Refer to the attached Webex User Manual (HOST / GUEST)
② Recording presentation video: Record the presentation video and send to email it to the committee members 3 day before the review. Check the review results and comments through email.
- Please recording the presentation video for at least 30 minutes (required). (Please make it in consulting with your advisor professor)
- We recommend that recording to including presenter's face. (At least record your first and last greetings, including presenter's face.)
③ Proceed by offline
- Permitted only when inevitable, each student must obtain permission from the department.
- You have to apply for class room reservation at least a week ago and get approval. And it must take safety measures (fever checks, hand sanitizer, list of attendees and contact information)
- Offline presentation method
ⓐ Complete the table below and apply via e-mail (salt82sy@skku.edu) with the “Confirmation of the obligation to implement safety measures for class room reservation” form. (attached file)
ⓑ Submit the 'Space Reservation Slip’ to the relevant building's security office by the day before use.
* It will be emailed after approval.
ⓒ Safety measures (fever checks, hand sanitizer, list of attendees and contact information) are implemented on the presentation day, and submit a list of attendees to the department after the defense.

Note. When students are on Offline Presentation for Master/Ph.D., they can't offer some Beverage or Refreshments to professors by "Act on the Prohibition of Receiving Illegal Fiduciary, Money, etc."
So, each department are going to offer some water for Offline presentation. If you need some water, please visit to each office and take them.
Also, Advisor can't offer some meals to committee chair or member. please be careful this problem. |
