Please take note of the following information regarding course registration procedures and schedule for the graduate school in 2021 Fall. (2021-2)
1. Course Registration Schedule

※ The registration and deletion of courses are only available from 10:00 to 23:00 during the course registration period.(8.13.~23.)
※ Students can change of the course(add or delete) 24 hours during Course Add&Drop period. (except "Not Available" day)
2. Available Courses: Check through GLS System- Crouse Area(수업영역)- Electronic Timetable (전자시간표)
※ Please check it regularly for any changes made to the time or the classroom number, Class Operation.
3. Note
① Please consider the class operation method and the lecture preview to proceed with the course registration.(On-line/Hybrid(Online+Offline)/Off-Line)
② Graduate students are not allowed to Retaking a Course, Grade Withdrawal.
Also, withdraw courses is not allowed after ‘the Course Add&Drop’ period.
③ For combined and Ph.D. degree students, can register for additional 3 credits in any semester that you would like to take.
- Before the Course Registration period, Adjustable in GLS system-[수업-수강가능학점조정]
- Ph.D.: Max. 2 Semester / Combined: Max. 1 Semester
④ It is possible to apply for prerequisites only if there are remaining prerequisite credits. (You cannot apply if there are no prerequisite credits)
4. The Division of Thesis Writing and Research Ethics (Required Subjects)
All SKKU student must complete the ‘Thesis Writing and Research Ethic’ course. The following divisions are available according to the department and degree.
① How to register? Please click the “prerequisite(선수신청)” to register for Thesis Writing and Research Ethics course.
② Available Division for each department
- Electrical and Computer Engineering: Master COV7001-I5, Ph.D. COV7001-I6, Combined COV7001-I7
- Photovoltaic System Engineering/ Energy Systems Engineering: COV7001-I6
③ This course does not include as available credit limit (9 credits/semester) and completion credits. (master 24 credits/ Doctor 36 credits / combined 51 credits)
④ If the requirement is not fulfilled, you will no longer eligible for both completed coursework and degree.
5. Introduction of Registration of Research Courses
To reinforce the coursework, CICE does not allow Master’s students to take research courses. Also, Ph.D. Students and combined Students are allowed to take research courses from 2nd semester.
For the students who would like to take, please confirm your qualification by the procedure below.
① Courses: 석사연구1(ECE5237-41), 석사연구2(ECE5238-41)
박사연구1(ECE6001-41), 박사연구2(ECE6002-41), 박사연구3(ECE6003-41)
② Who can take the courses: Students in their second semester or above Ph.D. students and combined Students (※ All master’s students and the first semester of Ph.D. Students and combined Students are not allowed to take.)
③ How to register?
Survey response ▶ Confirm your qualification ▶ Courses automatically assigned ▶ Confirm your course registration

④ Period: 2021. 8. 13. ~ 9. 3. 13:00 pm (except "Not Available" period)
⑤ After qualifications are confirmed, the course will be automatically assigned on the specified date.
※ Courses will be assigned on Aug. 23, Sept. 1 and Sept. 3.
⑥ The Research Course is only allowed to be taken once per semester.
- Admissions before 2020: Combined students can take maximum 12 credits. Ph.D. students can take maximum 9 credits.
- Admissions after 2021: Combined students can take maximum 9 credits. Ph.D. students can maximum 6 credits.
⑦ If you would like to take the Research Course, please leave 3 credits for the course to be assigned. For example, if you can register 9 credits in total for this semester, register up to 6 credits except the Research Course.
6. Procedures to request for increase in the student capacity per course
[Before the semester begins (8.13(Fri)~8.23(Mon)]
① Waiting number given ▶ Write your reasons for taking the course at GLS-Book Bag(책가방-수강희망사유) ▶ The professor check the reason and decide to increase of course limit ▶Automatically course register in the waiting list.
② Only students who have get a waiting number can apply for an increase (write the reason for wishing to attend)
③ If a student deletes a course or the professor decides to increase of course limit, the registration is automatic confirmed in the order of waiting number.
[After the semester begins(8.30.(Mon)~9.3.(Fri)]
① Write your reasons for taking the course at GLS-Book Bag(책가방-수강희망사유) ▶ The professor check the reason and decide to increase of course limit ▶ Course registration based on the order of registration
② The waiting number is no longer valid. Any student can apply for an increase (write the reason for wishing to attend) for a course in the Book Bag.
③ If a student deletes a course or the professor decides to increase of course limit, it will work in the order of registration.
