■강의제목: Neural Recording ICs for Next-Generation Brain–Computer Interfaces
■Abstract
: Brain–computer interfaces are emerging as a key technology for understanding neural activity, restoring lost sensory and motor functions, and enabling closed-loop neurotherapeutic systems. At the core of these systems are neural recording integrated circuits that must acquire microvolt-level neural signals with low noise, low power consumption, high input impedance, and high channel density. However, scaling neural recording systems toward next-generation applications presents significant circuit and system-level challenges, including electrode–tissue interface constraints, motion and stimulation artifacts, limited dynamic range, and strict area and power budgets.
This presentation will introduce the fundamentals and recent trends of neural recording ICs for brain–computer interfaces. Key circuit techniques, including low-noise neural amplifiers, ADC architectures, multi-channel readout strategies, and direct-digitization approaches, will be discussed. The talk will also highlight future challenges and opportunities toward scalable, robust, and low-power neural interface ICs for next-generation neurotechnology.
