Please take note of the following information regarding course registration procedures and schedule for the graduate school in 2025 Sprign. (2025-1)
1. Course Registration Schedule (Go To Course Registration https://sugang.skku.edu/skku/)

2. Available Courses: Check through GLS System- Crouse Area(수업영역)- Electronic Timetable (전자시간표)
※ Please check it regularly for any changes made to the time or the classroom number, Class Operation.
3. Revised Course Registration System; Pre-Course Registration
※ Please refer to the attached file for detailed information and system manual regarding the Pre-Course Registration.
① Pre-Registration (Non-First-Come, First-Served) [ Student ] After registering for course, apply for additional course seats when the T/O (capacity) is insufficient. ▶ [ Faculty ] The first round of T/O increases will be considered based on requests. ▶ [ In Case A ] If the number of student applications is less than the course T/O limit, the course will be confirmed. [ In Case B ] If the number of student applications exceeds the course T/O limit, all pre-registered applications will be deleted (all students will register on a first-come, first-served basis).
② Course registration (first-come, first-served) [ Student ] After registering for remaining seats, apply for additional seats for courses with insufficient seats. ▶ [ Faculty ] The second round of T/O increases (last increase/no increase after the start of the semester) ▶ [After the start of the semester] Apply for additional seats during the Course Add & Drop period. |
4. Note
① Graduate school not operates classes on-line.
- Please consider the class operation method and the lecture preview to proceed with the course registration. (Off-Line/Flip learning/PBL)
- Please consider the 6-Module to proceed with the course registration.(If it is the same time but the 6-Module is diffrenet and do not overlap, you can register for a course.)
② Graduate students are not allowed to Retaking a Course, Grade Withdrawal.
- Course changes are not allowed after ‘the Course Add&Drop’ period.
- Withdraw courses is only allowed for only one course per semester after ‘the Course Add&Drop’ period.
③ For combined and Ph.D. degree students, can register for additional 3 credits in any semester that you would like to take.
- Before the Course Registration period, Adjustable in GLS system-[수업-수강가능학점조정]
- Ph.D.: Max. 2 Semester / Combined: Max. 1 Semester
④ It is possible to apply for prerequisites only if there are remaining prerequisite credits. (You cannot apply if there are no prerequisite credits)
5. Guide on “Thesis Writing and Research Ethics” course (Required Subjects)
All SKKU student must complete the ‘Thesis Writing and Research Ethic’ course. The following divisions are available according to the department and degree.
① How to register: Please click the “prerequisite(선수신청)” to register for Thesis Writing and Research Ethics course.
② Available Division for each department
- Electrical and Computer Engineering: Master COV7001-I5, Ph.D. COV7001-I6, Combined COV7001-I7
- Photovoltaic System Engineering/ Semiconductor Convergence Engineering : COV7001-I6
③ This course does not include as available credit limit (9 credits/semester) and completion credits. (Master 24 credits/ Doctor 36 credits / Combined 51 credits)
④ If the requirement is not fulfilled, you will no longer eligible for both completed coursework and degree.
6. Guide on “Sustainable Information Technology Seminar” course (Required Subjects)
All student in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering must complete the ‘Sustainable Information Technology Seminar’ course. (Recommendation for the first semester)
① Who take the course: All students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering who admissions after 2022
② How to register: Please click the “Register(수강신청)” for the courses(ECE5247-41) on the Sugang site
③ In the Spring semester of 2025, speakers in the Electronic and electrical field(“Intelligent Semiconductor”, “Hyperconnected Communication” and “Smart Energy”) and in the Fall semester of 2025, Computing and Softeware fied(“Intelligent Computing”), will be invited.
- Please refer to the topics of the seminar for each week in the attached file.

7. Guide on Registration of Research Courses
A. Master’s / Doctor’s Research Problem
① Courses: Master’s Research Problem 1(ECE5237-41)

(ECE6001-41, ECE6002-41, ECE6003-41, ECE6005-41, ECE6006-41))
② Who can take the courses: Students in 2nd semester or above Ph.D. and combined Students

⑤ Period: 2025. 2. 18. 10:00~ 3. 10. 13:00 (except "Not Available" period)
⑥ Assignment of courses
After the end of course registration period, the course will be assigned automatically once you are confirmed to be qualified.(We will inform you by SMS after the assigned.)
A. 1st Courses assigned: Feb. 24. 17:00
B. 2nd Courses assigned: Mar. 10. 17:00
⑦ Note
- Master's student not allowed to take this course.
- Ph.D. and combined students not allowed to take in the first semester.
- Combined students are allowed to take only one research course per semester.
(Including “Master/Doctoral Research on Engineering Solutions to Societal Challenges” courses)
- Ph.D. students are allowed to take more than one research course per semester.
- If you would like to take the Research Course, please leave at least 3 credits for the course to be assigned.
※ For example, if you can register 9 credits in total for this semester, register up to 6 credits except the Research Course.
