【Master’s】 Offline proceed by the department
1. Pre Defense: No Presentation / Online Thesis site review only
2. Main Defense
1) Presentation Date & Time: 9:00 am, May, 21, 2022
2) Place: Semiconductor Building
3) Students to attend: Applicants of Master's Thesis main defense
4) Procedures: Proceed to 10 minutes presentation, 5 minutes questions and answers
5) Preparation
① Prepare presentation materials in 10 minutes and 3 hard copies of the thesis presentation file for committee members.
② Please attend in the classroom until 8:45am and download the PPT file on classroom desktop.
③ The presenter is expected to attend in formal or semi-formal attire.
6) Note
① All applicants for the Master's Thesis main defense must attend the presentation.
② If less than two committee members attend, the presentation cannot proceed.
③ If you are unable to attend offline due to the COVID-19, please be sure to contact the department.
④ If you are unable to attend due to unavoidable reasons such as overseas departure, you should submit the reason for absence to the Office of Graduate school by May 11, 2022.
⑤ Students who have submitted a reason for absence must have a thesis main defense presentation process individually in consultation with your advising professor within May.
7) Submission of the Revision Report
① Check the results of the Oral defense on Online Thesis site: May 30(Mon), 2022
② After revising the thesis, please be confirmed(get the signature) it by the committee members and advisor

③ Submission Due Date: ~ June 17(Fri), 2022
【Combined/Ph.D.】 Offline proceed in principle (*Online proceed is also allowed)
1. Pre Defense: 1 Time / Main Defense: 2 Times
2. Deadline for Presentation: ~ June 17(Fri)
3. How to proceed: Applicants should proceed by selecting one of the following methods in consultation with the advising professor and thesis committee members.
① Offline: Refer to the below
② Online(Live Streaming): Live streaming presentation at the appointed time with committee members using Webex, ZOOM, Skype, etc.
※ Recording of presentation video is not recommended considering communication between advisors and committee members or students.
4. Submission of the Result Report: ~ June 17(Fri)
* Signature scan and stamp available
5. How to proceed by offline
1) Proceed by each student
2) You have to apply for class room reservation to the ASIS system least a week ago and get approval. And it must take safety measures (hand sanitizer, wear a mask, social distance, etc.).
※ If necessary, request hand sanitizer and sneeze guard from the department office and receive it before presentation.
Note. When students are on Offline Presentation for Master/Ph.D., they can't offer some Beverage or Refreshments to professors by "Act on the Prohibition of Receiving Illegal Fiduciary, Money, etc."
Also, Advisor can't offer some meals to committee chair or member. please be careful this problem. |
