Starting from the Spring 2025 semester, the qualifications and composition requirements for master's and doctoral thesis committee members are subject to additional approval process by the Graduate School Committee.

On Thursday, May 22, the Committee completed the approval of all thesis committees for students in the College of Information and Communication(CICE).

The thesis evaluation must be conducted without any changes to the committee composition submitted with your defense application.

Even if the committee members remain the same, changing their roles—such as switching the positions of the committee chair and committee members—is not permitted.

As a general rule, no changes to committee members or their assigned roles (e.g., chair vs. member) are allowed.

However, in unavoidable circumstances requiring such changes, you must consult with your department office and complete the necessary procedures no later than 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 11.
